Technology

Understanding the importance of careful surgical monitoring, Lyne Animal Hospitals’ doctors have equipped our surgical suites so that both routine surgery and emergency surgery patients will benefit from the advanced technology available to track vital statistics. Throughout surgical procedures, our veterinarians and staff track patient blood pressure, EKG, temperature, pulse, oxygen levels, respiration, and carbon dioxide levels. Careful patient monitoring allows us to maintain the appropriate depth of anesthesia and ensure the stability of the pet in emergency or stressed health conditions.

Post-Operative Care

Following surgery, Lyne Animal Hospitals’ patients are closely observed and we ensure that pain is being well-managed. We are advocates of pain management as we understand that it lends to a better, quicker healing process; we want our patients to be as comfortable as possible.  Depending on the surgery, our patients may have one laser therapy treatment to again aid in their recovery.

When they are ready to go home, our staff provides detailed discharge instructions for pain management, medication, activity restrictions, feeding, any specific care instructions/information on incision sites or wound care, and when we’d like to recheck your pet next to monitor proper recovery. Our veterinarians and staff stay in close contact to answer questions and to ensure that the pet is progressing in recovery.

Lyne Animal Hospitals’ doctors are committed to making sure pet owners are well-informed and that they know they can always contact us with any pre- or post-surgical concerns.
